Years and Still Growing
UPMACS
has grown from a modest Mom & Pop operation
into a competitive global enterprise. 25 plus
years ago Svend Berg armed with years of RF/IF
technical experience began to develop pure
hardware based M&C systems. The company
grew consistently while delivering a multitude
custom solutions for customers such as Teleglobe
Canada (then a Crown Corporation). In the
early 80s, through natural technological advancement
and the vision and talent of Svend's son Peter,
UPMACS began it's next phase into computer
based M&C systems. Toady, while still
a privately held company UPMACS is providing
M&C software, development tools &
turnkey systems to dozens of world class satellite
and broadcast operations.

Industry
wide, the last three years have demonstrated
that flexibility and vision are keys to success
in satellite communications. We have watched
with care and concern as some of our industry
giants crashed while others reinvented themselves
to begin new growth. Our industries future
is getting healthier by the day, we are seeing
new business demands for satellite bandwidth
while familiar ones return to a growth curve.
New and future business demands equate to
new equipment, new processes and new operational
philosophies. Every version and release of
UPMACS software is designed to adapt to new
